Absolute partial and total electron impact ionization cross sections for C3H8 from threshold up to 950 eV

TL;DR: In this paper, the relative corrected partial ionization cross sections for the production of C3H8, C 3H7+, C 3h6, C3h5, C 2H4, C2H2, C 1.5, and C 2.5 were determined from threshold up to 950 eV.
Journal ArticleDOI

Production and properties of CO 2 cluster anions

TL;DR: In this paper, the abundance and stability of negatively charged CO2 cluster ions have been studied with a double focussing sector field mass spectrometer and the observed abundance anomalies correlate with corresponding small and large metastable fractions of these ions (for loss of one CO2 unit). Variation of measured metastable fraction as a function ofn are related to corresponding changes in the monomer binding energies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction of free electrons with C60: ionization and attachment reactions

TL;DR: In this paper, a cross molecular beam system was used to study electron impact ionization and attachment to C60 using a crossed molecular beam and double focusing mass spectrometer system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Production and stability of oxygen cluster cations and anions, revisited

TL;DR: In this paper, a double focussing sector field mass spectrometer was used to analyze the abundance and stability of positive and negative oxygen cluster ions in a crossed neutral beam/electron beam ion source, and it was shown that an apparent loss of the monomer fragment observed in the metastable time regime is due to ordinary metastable monomer evaporation in the acceleration region.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interaction of electrons with C60+ and C60−: post-ionization, dissociation and kinetic energy release

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of energetic electrons with size and charge-selected fullerene ions in the second field-free region of a double-focusing sector-field mass spectrometer is reported.
