Design of topological indices. Part 4. Reciprocal distance matrix, related local vertex invariants and topological indices

TL;DR: In this paper, the reciprocal distance (RD) matrix was defined, and three topological indices, namely RDSUM, RDSQ, and RDCHI, were defined.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new approach for devising local graph invariants: Derived topological indices with low degeneracy and good correlation ability

TL;DR: In this article, a new approach for obtaining graph invariants which have very high discriminating ability for different vertices within a graph is presented, where the invariants are obtained as the solution set (local invariant set, LOIS) of a system of linear equationsQ · X = R, whereQ is a topological matrix derived from the adjacency matrix of the graph, andR is a column vector which encodes either a vertex degree or a chemical property (atomic number).
Journal ArticleDOI

New vertex invariants and topological indices of chemical graphs based on information on distances

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors apply information theory to the set of topological distances from one vertex to all other graph vertices, and obtain four new types of vertex invariants (ui,vi,xi,Yi) which are real numbers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical graphs with degenerate topological indices based on information on distances

TL;DR: In this article, the degeneracy of vertex invariants, namely u, v, x, andy, was investigated and a structural condition and a graphical method which gives pairs of molecular graphs with identical U, V, X, and Y topological indices were introduced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Δ3-Dihydropyrans and tetrahydropyrans by reduction of pyrylium salts with sodium borohydride in acetic acid☆

TL;DR: The major reduction products with triacetoxyborohydride (NaBH 4 in AcOH) of 2,4,6-trisubstituted pyrylium salts bearing alkyl substituents in the 2- and/or 6- position are the Δ 3 -dihydropyrans with cis 2-and 6- substituent and the all- cis -2, 4, 6-tricyclic tetrahydroparans as discussed by the authors.
