Journal ArticleDOI

The immunopathology of pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid.

TL;DR: This review article was prepared for the Journal of Investigative Dermatology by invitation and is the first of a series of such articles which will appear in this journal in the months to come.
Journal ArticleDOI

IgA class endomysium antibodies in dermatitis herpetiformis and coeliac disease.

TL;DR: The first findings on IgA class antibody reacting with endomysium IgA-EmA of smooth muscle, particularly of monkey esophagus are set forth, which are found in a significant proportion of patients with DH, coeliac disease and other gut diseases but not in cases of LABD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Characterization of paraneoplastic pemphigus autoantigens by immunoblot analysis.

TL;DR: Two of the six PNP sera specifically reacted with the extracellular domain of recombinant pemphigus vulgaris antigen protein, indicating that pem PHV antigen may be involved in PNP, and the immunoblot technique may be a useful tool to unravel the complex mechanisms of the PNP antigens.
Journal ArticleDOI

Herpetiform pemphigus, a variable pattern of pemphigus.

TL;DR: Immunofluorescence studies demonstrated circulating pemphigus antibodies and IgG bound in vivo in the intercellular spaces of the epidermis in the context of dermatitis herpetiformis did not respond to treatment with pyridine or sulfones.
Journal ArticleDOI

IgA linear dermatosis of childhood (chronic Bullous disease of childhood)

TL;DR: Of twenty‐seven cases of subepidermal blistering disease of children twelve corresponded clinically, histologically and immunologically to dermatitis herpetiforms of adults, six to bullous pemphigoid, and eight to chronic Bullous disease of childhood (CBDC), i.e. IgA linear dermatosis.
