The pavement material comprises a porous pavement substrate and an amphoteric compound bonded to the substrate. Also disclosed is a method for producing a porous, cementitious material. The method includes the steps of providing and thoroughly mixing cement and aggregate, mixing water with the cement and aggregate into a slurry while maintaining a water to cement ratio of less than one, initiating curing of said slurry under pressure and in the presence of steam, and continuing the curing at ambient temperature and pressure until the cementitious material is substantially dry.

SOLUTION: The artificial rock R made of concrete is produced by a form equipped with a baglike decorative form which has unevenness on the inner surface and is elastic and deformable, and with a supporting frame which supports the decorative formwork and has rigidity. In the method for producing the artificial rock, the decorative formwork 1 is equipped with the upper opening 1d and the lower opening 1e larger than the upper opening 1d. The lower opening 1e of the decorative form 1 supported by the supporting frame is stuck and overlapped on the outer peripheral part of a partial artificial rock which forms a part of the artificial rock after production and is previously manufactured. Concrete is placed into the inside of the decorative form 1 from the upper opening 1d and integrated with the partial artificial rock. After concrete is cured, the decorative form 1 is released from the lower opening 1a and the artificial rock is produced.
