Abstract: The paper deals with the adaptive limit cycle stabilization problem for an autonomous control system, such that the closed loop system has an orbitally and asymptotically stable periodic solution. Two schemes are proposed: 1) a direct extension of a backstepping procedure, and 2) a scheme which introduces a change of coordinates before using a new Lyapunov function candidate.
