Beam hole behaviour during laser beam welding
TL;DR: In order to avoid the interference effect of laser plasma, a new laser welding process, which is named "Laser Spike Seam Welding" as mentioned in this paper, was developed, which allows considerably deeper penetration than conventional continuous welding.
