Strain-time effects in low-cycle fatigue of nickel-base heat-resistant alloys at high temperature

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of strain controlled low-cycle fatigue tests in the simulated high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) helium environment were conducted at 900°C on Hastelloy X and its modified version, Hastelloys XR.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidation and the associated morphological changes in Zr-Ni binary alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the morphological changes on the kinetics of Zr-Ni alloys was discussed in connection with the role of nickel and the dissolved oxygen.

Nickel-base alloy excellent in corrosion resistance at high temperatures

TL;DR: A nickel-base alloy excellent in corrosion resistance at high temperatures, which consists essentially of, in weight percentage: Carbon -- 0.04 to 0.25, Chromium -- 10.0 to 25.0%, At least one element selected from the group consisting of 0.1 to 30.2%, and inevitable impurities -- balance as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Program of United states-Japan collaborative testing in HFIR and ORR☆

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the response of austenitic stainless steels to levels of neutron radiation damage anticipated in fusion reactors and found that less than 1% swelling was observed for Type 316 stainless steel and prime candidate alloys irradiated to about 30 dpa at 300 to 500°C.
