TL;DR: In this article, a strippable water-base coating compsn. is prepd. by dispersing a rubber (deriv.) having an elongation at break of 100% or higher and a tensile strength of 100kg/cm or higher in water in presence of an emulsifier (e.g. oleic acid) and, if necessary, compunding the resultant emulsion with another emulsion, such as a resin emulsion), etc.
Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a strippable water-base coating compsn. suitable as a pack detergent for the exterior surface of a building, a temporary protective agent for a finished coated surface, etc., by incorporating an emulsion of a rubber (deriv.) having specified elongation at break, tensile strength, etc., into the same. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by dispersing a rubber (deriv.) having an elongation at break of 100% or higher and a tensile strength of 100kg/cm or higher in water in presence of an emulsifier (e.g. oleic acid) and, if necessary, compunding the resultant emulsion with another emulsion (e.g. a resin emulsion), etc. Suitable examples of the rubber (deriv.) are a natural rubber, a styrenebutadiene rubber, an isoprene rubber, a silicone rubber, a flurorubber, and their derivs. The compsn. adheres to a coating film, a material, etc., to be washed or protected at a suitable adhesive strength and can be peeled off without damaging the coating film, material, etc.
