Using mu rhythm desynchronization to measure mirror neuron activity in infants

TL;DR: The results show a higher desynchronization of the mu rhythm when infants observed a goal-directed action than when they observed a spatially similar non-goal-directed movement, which indicates that the MNS is functioning at this age.

Using mu rhythm perturbations to measure mirror neuron activity in infants

TL;DR: In this paper, the maturation of cortical areas involved in motion perception in adults and infants using an ERP paradigm was investigated using three age groups (2, 3 and 5 months olds), and the results showed significant activation when moving displays was contrasted to static displays on a video screen.
