Journal ArticleDOI

Cavitation erosion of plasma-sprayed CoMoCrSi coatings

TL;DR: In this article, a three-hour heat treatment at a temperature of 800°C and 1000°C, respectively, was applied to CoMoCrSi coatings and 3D profiles were employed to investigate the erosion mechanism on pristine and eroded surfaces.
Journal ArticleDOI

APS prepared NiCrBSi-YSZ composite coatings for protection against cavitation erosion

TL;DR: In this paper, different amounts of NiCrBSi powders were added into yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) powders in order to produce denser YSZ-NiCrBSI composite coatings employing atmospheric plasma spraying.
Journal ArticleDOI

Functionalized polypropylenes in the compatibilization and dispersion of clay nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this article, the preparation of polypropylene (PP) nanocomposites was studied using clay and three types of modified PP (m-PP) as compatibilizers.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ultrasonic cavitation erosion of as-sprayed and laser-remelted yttria stabilized zirconia coatings

TL;DR: In this paper, the cavitation erosion resistance of 8.5 kg yttria stabilized zirconia has been investigated in specimens prepared by atmospheric plasma spraying and laser remelting post treatment and the results indicate that as-sprayed coatings involve defects such as primary cavities and initial micro cracks inside a particle and among the interfaces of particles.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of preheating processes on the microstructure of laser glazed YSZ coatings

TL;DR: In this article, yttria stabilized zirconia ceramic coatings were manufactured by atmospheric plasma spraying and then subjected to a Nd-YAG pulsed laser source.
