Boat auxiliary motor support

A boat provides full operation even in shallow water utilizing an outboard motor. The boat includes a main hull, a displaceable transom to which the motor is mounted and a displaceable hull section. The displaceable transom is received in sliding engagement within two guide brackets mounted to the main hull. The displaceable hull section is connected to the displaceable transom by a hinge along a rear edge. The leading edge of the displaceable hull section is received and rests within a lip in the main hull. Actuator cylinders mounted in alignment with the guide brackets raise and lower the transom and the rear end of the displaceable hull section while the leading edge of the displaceable hull section pivots and slides in the lip. When the motor is raised for shallow water operation the displaceable hull section forms a flow channel for directing water to the propeller and intake port of the motor so as to prevent damage and provide proper and efficient water cooling.

Disclosed herein is a bracket assembly for supporting an outboard motor from a boat transom so as to permit tilting of the outboard motor substantially wholly in the area aft of the transom, which bracket assembly comprises a transom bracket adapted to be fixed to the boat transom and including an upper end having a bore which is horizontal when the transom bracket is boat mounted, a tilt pin extending in the bore, and a tilt member including an upper end having a bore receiving the tilt member and a lower part including a generally vertically extending outboard motor mounting member located substantially below the tilt pin and substantially rearwardly of the tilt pin.

High pivot transom bracket assembly for mounting outboard motor

Boating apparatus including means for mounting a trolling motor on the bow of a boat for pivotal movement out of the water and for pivotal movement out of the way of underwater obstructions. A spring-loaded shock-absorbing supporting bar assembly that is incompressible but extensible against the bias of a biasing means mounts the trolling motor, along with another means providing a pivot mounting therefor. The bar assembly may include means for adjusting the length thereof for ready adaptation to variously dimensioned existing trolling motor mounting means.
