Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular vibrational energy transfer in methyl formate

TL;DR: In this article, the authors compared the experimentally observed relative energy content of the IR active modes with that calculated from a statistical model, and concluded that complete randomization of the energy initially deposited in the zeroth order optically excited state occurs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular vibrational relaxation in dimethyl ether

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the IR laser induced fluorescence from C-H stretch fundamentals, combination bands, and overtones in the region from 2800 to 3050 cm−1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Limits on the lifetimes of intramolecular rovibrational relaxation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a rotationally resolved infrared laser induced fluorescence spectra for dimethyl ether and methyl formate, with linewidths < 0.31 cm−1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intramolecular vibrational relaxation in 1,4 dioxane

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared the experimentally observed relative energy content of the IR active modes with that calculated from a statistical model, and concluded that substantial randomization of the energy initially deposited in the zeroth order optically excited state occurs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Rovibrational state mixing in the aldehyde C–H stretch fundamental region of acetaldehyde

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied rovibrational state mixing in acetaldehyde using infrared laser induced fluorescence and found evidence of several strong Fermi resonances between the aldehyde C-H stretch and a few overtones and combinations of lower frequency modes.
