Detecting Adversarial Perturbations in Multi-Task Perception

TL;DR: A novel adversarial perturbation detection scheme based on multi-task perception of complex vision tasks (i.e., depth estimation and semantic segmentation) and develops a novel edge consistency loss between all three modalities, thereby improving their initial consistency which supports the detection scheme.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Nonlinear Prediction of Speech by Echo State Networks

TL;DR: Simulations show a special kind of recurrent neural network not requiring any training beforehand, the echo state network, which adaptively updates its output layer weights, which shows superior performance compared to other well-known prediction approaches in terms of the prediction gain.

Multi-Encoder Learning and Stream Fusion for Transformer-Based End-to-End Automatic Speech Recognition

TL;DR: In this paper, a weighted combination of two encoder-decoder multi-head attention outputs is proposed to achieve state-of-the-art performance for transformer-based models on WSJ with a significant WER reduction.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Densenet Blstm for Acoustic Modeling in Robust ASR

TL;DR: The DenseNet topology is modified to become a kind of feature extractor for the subsequent BLSTM network operating on whole speech utterances and is able to consistently outperform a top-performing baseline based on wide residual networks and BLSTMs providing a 2.4% relative WER reduction on the real test set.
