Parry,Nancy Poirier,Gerald F. Greil,Gerald F. Greil,Reza Razavi,Reza Razavi,Tomás Gómez-Cía,Amir Reza Hosseinpour +38 more
TL;DR: 3D models are accurate replicas of the cardiovascular anatomy and improve the understanding of complex CHD and help redefining the surgical approach.
Journal ArticleDOI
3D printed models for planning endovascular stenting in transverse aortic arch hypoplasia.
Israel Valverde,Gorka Gomez,Jose Felix Coserria,Cristina Suárez-Mejías,Sergio Uribe,Julio Sotelo,Maria Nieves Velasco,José Santos de Soto,Amir-Reza Hosseinpour,Tomás Gómez-Cía +9 more
TL;DR: 3D printed models accurately replicate patients' anatomy and are helpful in planning endovascular stenting in transverse arch hypoplasia and opens a door for potential simulation applications of 3D models in the field of catheterization and cardiovascular interventions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Three-dimensional patient-specific cardiac model for surgical planning in Nikaidoh procedure
Israel Valverde,Gorka Gomez,Antonio Gonzalez,Cristina Suárez-Mejías,Alejandro Adsuar,Jose Felix Coserria,Sergio Uribe,Tomás Gómez-Cía,Amir Reza Hosseinpour +8 more
TL;DR: Cardiovascular models constructed by rapid prototyping techniques are extremely helpful for planning corrective surgery in patients with complex congenital malformations and may potentially reduce operative time and morbi-mortality.
Journal ArticleDOI
Digital imaging in remote diagnosis of burns.
TL;DR: Compression, by means of the JPEG algorithm, of up to 50 times the original size of 38 digital images of burns suffered by 22 consecutive patients did not lessen its great usefulness in determining the depth of burn injuries, according to a group of experts in burn care.
Journal ArticleDOI
Computed Tomographic Angiography with VirSSPA Three-Dimensional Software for Perforator Navigation Improves Perioperative Outcomes in DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction
Purificacion Gacto-Sanchez,Domingo Sicilia-Castro,Tomás Gómez-Cía,Araceli Lagares,Teresa Collell,Cristina Suárez,Carlos Parra,Sandra Leal,Pedro Infante-Cossío,Jose María De La Higuera +9 more
TL;DR: Computed tomographic angiography–guided VirSSPA three-dimensional reconstruction in the assessment of perforator flaps was proved to be safe and reliable and found to be a protective factor against developing any kind of complication after DIEP flap surgery.
