An automatic analysis device is provided with a reaction container in which a sample and a reagent react with each other, a reaction disk in which the reaction containers are disposed in a line on the circumference thereof, a reaction disk rotation mechanism which rotates the reaction disk, a light source which irradiates the reaction container with measurement light, and a detector which detects light emitted from the light source and transmitted through a reaction solution in the reaction container, the automatic analysis device being provided with an optical system which causes the light from the light source to be incident on the reaction container at a predetermined angle with respect to a plane of the reaction container.

An interlock system using biometrics scans to identify in real-time an individual who seeks to operate a mechanical device, such as an automobile. Biometrics features that uniquely identify an individual are selected. If a real-time biometrics scan of the individual does not match a stored image of an authorized operator, the interlock system will lock the mechanical device to prevent operation. The interlock system may be used in conjunction with a breath alcohol analyzer to determine impairment. If the biometrics testing indicates that the individual is required to be tested for impairment, the mechanical device will not operate until the testing is completed. If the test indicates that the individual is impaired the interlock system will lock the mechanical device to prevent operation.

Accuracy management method and its system

Automated crop monitoring using image analysis is commonly used in horticulture. Image-processing technologies have been used in several studies to monitor growth, determine harvest time, and estimate yield. However, accurate monitoring of flowers and fruits in addition to tracking their movements is difficult because of their location on an individual plant among a cluster of plants. In this study, an automated clip-type Internet of Things (IoT) camera-based growth monitoring and harvest date prediction system was proposed and designed for tomato cultivation. Multiple clip-type IoT cameras were installed on trusses inside a greenhouse, and the growth of tomato flowers and fruits was monitored using deep learning-based blooming flower and immature fruit detection. In addition, the harvest date was calculated using these data and temperatures inside the greenhouse. Our system was tested over three months. Harvest dates measured using our system were comparable with the data manually recorded. These results suggest that the system could accurately detect anthesis, number of immature fruits, and predict the harvest date within an error range of ±2.03 days in tomato plants. This system can be used to support crop growth management in greenhouses.
