Studies on Lead Silicate Melts

TL;DR: In this paper, a PbO-SiO2 system was chosen as a model of silicate or slag because of its low melting point and glass forming properties, and electrical conductivity measurements showed that the lead silicate melt had a positive temperature coefficient and ionic conductance like molten NaCl, which was verified by fused electrolysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

The properties of scales and methods to prevent them

TL;DR: In this paper, physical and chemical analyses of scales (siliceous deposits) and hot water were conducted, and at the same time, there was an attempt to widen the knowledge about scale deposition in hot water under various conditions, using test equipment.
Journal ArticleDOI
