Nanocellulose as a natural source for groundbreaking applications in materials science: Today’s state

The concern of this mini review is to feature the natural nanomaterial bionanocellulose (BNC) and its potential as a novel type of biomaterial for applications in regenerative medicine. The hydrogel BNC is characterized by high purity, dimensional stability and good surgical handling. A fundamental current progress is the biotechnological design of shape, dimensions, nanofibernetwork and surface properties of the BNC materials. The corresponding templatebased technology allows the tailoring of implants for quite different organs such as urgently needed small diameter blood vessel substitutes, bile duct and ureter implants. Further application fields are advanced wound dressings and
controlled release scaffolds.

The invention provides a fermentation cylinder applicable to soybean meal solid aerobic fermentation, belongs to the field of soybean meal fermentation equipment, and aims at solving the problem of low productive rate caused by stickiness after a material and bacteria solution are mixed during soybean meal fermentation. The fermentation cylinder applicable to soybean meal solid aerobic fermentation comprises a cylinder body, a bacteria solution conveying tube and an intake-tube, and further comprises a raw material disc, a bacteria solution disc and a vibration lifting device; the bacteria solution disc is arranged in the cylinder body, the raw material disc is connected to the vibration lifting device and arranged in the cylinder body and above the bacteria solution disc, and the raw material disc is provided with a through-hole; the outlet of the bacteria solution conveying tube is arranged in the bacteria solution disc; the outlet of the intake-tube is arranged at the bottom of the cylinder body. The fermentation cylinder applicable to soybean meal solid aerobic fermentation serves as a soybean meal fermentation cylinder, changes the fermentation method of soybean meal, makes it possible of natto production in bulk with low-cost raw materials, and has high economic benefits.

The template has a surface, which comprises structures in millimeter, micrometer and/or nanometer. The surface is made of timber, metal, plastic, ceramic, synthetic polymer, paper textile fabric or glass. The wetting device is configured so that the template is dipped inside and outside of the mixture. The mixture is poured from the first reservoir to the template, where, after casting the mixture, the remaining mixture in the second reservoir is not collected at the surface of the template. The mixture is poured from the second reservoir to the template, where, after casting the mixture, the remaining mixture in the first reservoir is not collected at the surface of the template. The device is sterilized by heat, steam, radiation and/or chemicals. An independent claim is included for a method for preparing a hollow body made of a microbial polymer or for coating an article with a microbial polymer.
