The invention relates to a method and corresponding device for depressurizing a nuclear power plant (2) having a containment shell (4) for containing activity carriers and having an outlet (10, 10') for a depressurization flow, wherein the depressurization flow is conducted out of the containment shell (4) into the atmosphere via a depressurization line (12, 12') provided with a filter system, wherein the filter system comprises a filter chamber (16) having a filter chamber inlet (124), a filter chamber outlet (128), and a sorbent filter (18) lying therebetween, and wherein the depressurization flow is first conducted in a high-pressure section (70), then is depressurized by means of expansion at a throttle device (72), then conducted at least partially through the filter chamber (16) having the sorbent filter (18), and finally blown out into the atmosphere. In order to enable an especially efficient and effective retention of activity carriers contained in the depressurization flow, in particular organic compounds containing iodine, the depressurization flow depressurized by the throttle device (72) is conducted through a superheating section (80) immediately before the depressurization flow enters the filter chamber (16), in which superheating section the depressurization flow is heated by direct or indirect heat transfer from the depressurization flow not yet depressurized in the high-pressure section (70) to a temperature that is at least 10 °C, preferably 20 °C to 50 °C, above the dew point temperature present there.

A method and a corresponding device for the pressure relief of a nuclear power plant having an outlet for a relief flow. The relief flow is guided out of a containment into the atmosphere via a relief line provided with a filter system. The filter system has a filter chamber with a filter-chamber inlet and outlet and a sorbent filter arranged therebetween. The relief flow is guided in a high-pressure section of the relief line past the filter chamber, with the latter being heated, and the relief flow is expanded at the end of the high-pressure section and dried. In order for efficient retention of iodine-containing organic compounds, the relief flow is guided through a bed filter, guided in a superheating section past the high-pressure section of the relief line and in the process is heated, guided in this state directly thereafter through the filter chamber having the sorbent filter.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine entsprechende Vorrichtung zur Druckentlastung eines Kernkraftwerks (2) mit einer Sicherheitshulle (4) zum Einschluss von Aktivitatstragern und mit einem Auslass (10, 10') fur einen Entlastungsstrom, wobei der Entlastungsstrom uber eine mit einem Filtersystem versehene Entlastungsleitung (12, 12') aus der Sicherheitshulle (4) in die Atmosphare gefuhrt wird, wobei das Filtersystem eine Filterkammer (16) mit einem Filterkammereinlass (124), einem Filterkammerauslass (128) und einem dazwischen liegenden Sorbensfilter (18) umfasst, und wobei der Entlastungstrom zunachst in einem Hochdruckabschnitt (70) gefuhrt wird, anschliesend durch Expansion an einer Drosseleinrichtung (72) entspannt wird, anschliesend zumindest teilweise durch die Filterkammer (16) mit dem Sorbensfilter (18) hindurch geleitet wird, und schlieslich in die Atmosphare ausgeblasen wird. Um eine besonders effiziente und wirksame Ruckhaltung von im Entlastungsstrom enthaltenen Aktivitatstragern, insbesondere von jodhaltigen organischen Verbindungen, zu ermoglichen, ist erfindungsgemas vorgesehen, dass der durch die Drosseleinrichtung (72) entspannte Entlastungstrom unmittelbar vor seinem Eintritt in die Filterkammer (16) durch einen Uberhitzungsabschnitt (80) geleitet wird, in dem er durch direkten oder indirekten Warmeubertrag von dem noch nicht entspannten Entlastungsstrom im Hochdruckabschnitt (70) auf eine Temperatur erhitzt wird, die mindestens 10 °C, vorzugsweise 20 °C bis 50 °C, uber der dort vorliegenden Taupunkttemperatur liegt.

The invention relates to a process for the rapid and virtually complete removal of iodine and/or organic iodine compounds having a low number of carbon atoms from gases and/or vapours using zeolite X containing heavy metals. The object underlying the invention is to create a process and an adsorbent usable herefor which avoids the disadvantages of the known adsorbents and processes operated therewith and ensures a rapid virtually complete removal of iodine and/or organic iodine compounds having a low number of carbon atoms from gases and/or vapours from nuclear plants under various, rapidly changing and possibly extreme operating conditions, e.g. during or after an accident. The object is achieved according to the invention by the gases and/or vapours containing iodine and/or iodine compounds being passed through a layer of binder-free molecular sieve granules which have been exchanged with silver and at least one further heavy metal.
