Journal ArticleDOI

External and endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy in chronic dacryocystitis: comparison of results

TL;DR: Outcomes were classified as successful when epiphora diminished, no recurrent infection was noted and minimal or no reflux from the canaliculis during or after lacrimal irrigation was seen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Erectile dysfunction in severe sleep apnea patients and response to CPAP

TL;DR: CPAP is effective in improvement of sexual performance of patients with severe obstructive sleep apnea and a correlation between severe OSAS and ED is found.
Journal ArticleDOI

The comparison of edema and ecchymosis after piezoelectric and conventional osteotomy in rhinoplasty

TL;DR: It was showed that the main reason edema and ecchymosis are seen post-rhinoplasty is related to soft-tissue injury during osteotomy, and that the conventional and piezoelectric osteotomy procedures are equivalent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Prospective comparison of 3 dacryocystorhinostomy surgeries: external versus endoscopic versus transcanalicular multidiode laser.

TL;DR: External DCR, EN-DCR, and TC-D CR had similar success and complication rates in patients with primary acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction and Transcanalicular DCR appeared to be effective with the shortest surgical time.
Journal Article

Obesity and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome.

TL;DR: Insulin resistance was not directly associated with BMI and/or AHI, but it was aggravated by nocturnal hypoxemia owing to apnea severity, and NC was also a good predictor for insulin resistance and should not be ignored during the treatment selection for the patients with OSAS.
