Block-recursive, multirate filterbanks with arbitrary time-frequency plane tiling
TL;DR: A new method to realize arbitrary time-frequency plane tilings together with critical sampling in block-recursive filterbanks is presented, which leads to pole-zero approximation of the target channel transfer functions.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Warped linear predictive audio coding in video conferencing application
TL;DR: A codec for wideband 12kHz speech and audio in a video conferencing application is proposed in this paper based on warped linear predictive coding algorithm which utilizes the auditory Bark frequency resolution.
Audio Coding with Auditory Time-Frequency Noise Shaping and Irrelevancy Reducing Vector Quantization
Proceedings Article
Discovering Keywords from Cross-Modal Input: Ecological vs.Engineering Methods for Enhancing Acoustic Repetitions
TL;DR: In this paper, a computational model that automates acoustic speech data segmentation and builds internal representations of keyword classes from cross-modal (acoustic and pseudo-visual) input is introduced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Higher pole correction in vocal tract models and terminal analogs
TL;DR: A polynomial analysis of the vocal tract transfer function was done to obtain new practical models for the Higher Pole Correction (HPC), which can be used in analog as well as digital all-pole realizations to form a new type of pole-zero model for speech production.
