Internet of Things (IoT) consists of sensors embed with physical objects that are connected to the Internet and able to establish the communication between them without human intervene applications are industry, transportation, healthcare, robotics, smart agriculture, etc. The communication technology plays a crucial role in IoT to transfer the data from one place to another place through Internet. This paper presents various communication protocols, namely Zigbee, Bluetooth, Near Field Communication (NFC), LoRA, etc. Later, it provides the difference between different communication protocols. Finally, the overall discussion about the communication protocols in IoT.

A Recent Survey on Internet of Things (IoT) Communication Protocols

Distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks is rising exponentially and creates a severe threat to security. Generally, the DDoS attack may appear uncomplicated but they are hard to prevent and considered as one of the most significant cybersecurity issues. Hence, addressing against DDoS attacks turns out to be imperative. The major goal of this paper involves the optimal detection of data samples as normal data samples and malicious/attacked data samples. This paper proposes a security algorithm against DDoS attacks by employing four significant phases namely the Database training phase, Data pre-processing phase, Feature selection phase and Classification phase. Initially, the data samples are to be trained before using it for attack detection. Later, the sample group is created for every file and the data samples are pre-processed in the data pre-processing phase. Secondly, in feature selection phase, the selected features are optimized by employing kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) to obtain optimal features. Later, in the classification phase, a support vector machine-based discrete elephant herding optimization (SVM-DEHO) classifier is utilized to detect the data sample as normal data and attacked or malicious data. Finally, the proposed approach is examined for four different databases namely NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15, ISCX ID and CIC-IDS2017 databases respectively. The experimental analyses are performed for various simulation metrics and the outcome reveals that the detection system performances are high using SVM-DEHO approach than other approaches.

— Today antenna designer is paying more focus on microstrip patch antennas, because of its numerous advantages in field of communication, such as high reliability, light weight, ease of fabrication etc. But despite of its bountiful advantages, patch antenna also experiences some drawbacks which is low gain and narrow bandwidth. These drawbacks can be overcome by taking care of some parameters in the design of antenna. There are numerous designing factors affecting the radiating characteristics of antenna such as patch height, feeding techniques substrate used in manufacturing of antenna etc. The substrate material used for the antenna FR-4 having a permittivity value of 4.3. The patch and ground are of copper materials with a thickness of 0.035 mm. Finally, the parameters of the antenna such as S11(reflection coefficient), directivity, gain, VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) and bandwidth. Hence the brief explanation of the project is about the kidney abnormality may arise due to the formation of stones, congenital anomalies, blockage of urine etc., So, it is important to identify the presence of stone in the kidney for diagnosis. In this the kidney stone detection is developed by using a microstrip patch antenna. This antenna has a very low profile, simple structure, easy to fabricate and lightweight. A microstrip patch antenna scanning system allows to detect the presence of stone in the kidney. This antenna has a very low profile, simple structure, easy to manufacture, and lightweight. The proposed antenna, kidney phantom and stone were designed and simulated in CST Studio.
