Is this a practical approach

From molecules to bismuth oxide-based materials: Potential homo- and heterometallic precursors and model compounds

In this study, investigations have been made on the crystal structure, surface morphology, dielectric and electrical properties of tungsten doped SrBi 2 (W x Ta 1− x ) 2 O 9 (0.0 ≤  x  ≤ 0.20) ferroelectric ceramics. Dielectric measurements performed as a function of temperature at 1, 10 and 100 kHz show an increase in Curie temperature ( T c ) over the composition range of x  = 0.05–0.20. W 6+ substitution in perovskite-like units results in a sharp dielectric transition at the ferroelectric Curie temperature with the dielectric constant at their respective Curie temperature increasing with tungsten doping. The dielectric loss reduces significantly with tungsten addition. The temperature dependence of ac and dc conductivity vis-a-vis tungsten content shows a decrease in conductivity, which is attributed to the suppression of oxygen vacancies. The activation energy calculated from the Arrhenius plots is found to increase with tungsten content.

In certain electrode processes involving electron transfer mechanisms, a portion of the dielectric polarization is not in electrostatic equilibrium with the charge distribution. In the present paper expressions are deduced for the properties of such systems. These properties include the electrostatic free energy, entropy and energy, and the spatial dependence of the inner potential. The method of images provides a convenient means for determining the electrode charge distribution, due account being taken of its quantum limitations. These expressions have been used to formulate a quantitative theory of overvoltage for electron transfer electrode processes.

Electrostatic Free Energy and Other Properties of States Having Nonequilibrium Polarization. II. Electrode Systems

In this paper, structural and electrical studies of A-site lanthanum-substituted Sr1−xLaxBi2Nb2O9; x = 0.0 – 0.5 ceramics are reported. The introduction of lanthanum produces pore-free microstructure upto x = 0.3 . A diffuse ferroelectric to paraelectric phase transition is observed in the doped samples and positive temperature coefficient of resistance (PTCR) is observed in x = 0.0 , 0.4 and 0.5 samples whereas x = 0.1 – 0.3 samples show negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR). Curie temperature decreases continuously with increase in lanthanum content.
