Risk factors for obstetrical anal sphincter lacerations
Vani Dandolu,Ashwin Chatwani,Ozgur H. Harmanli,Clara Floro,John P. Gaughan,Enrique Hernandez +5 more
TL;DR: Instrumental vaginal delivery, particularly forceps delivery, appears to be an important risk factor for anal sphincter tears and the risk previously attributed to episiotomy is probably due to its association with instrumental vaginal delivery.
Journal ArticleDOI
Is prior uterine surgery a risk factor for adenomyosis
Uma R. Panganamamula,Ozgur H. Harmanli,Ebru F. Isik-Akbay,Chad A. Grotegut,Vani Dandolu,John P. Gaughan +5 more
TL;DR: This study found a significantly increased risk of adenomyosis with prior uterine surgery and the absence of significant association with any specific surgical procedure is possibly the result of a smaller number of subjects in each individual group.
