In this paper, we define and explore proofs of retrievability (PORs). A POR scheme enables an archive or back-up service (prover) to produce a concise proof that a user (verifier) can retrieve a target file F, that is, that the archive retains and reliably transmits file data sufficient for the user to recover F in its entirety.A POR may be viewed as a kind of cryptographic proof of knowledge (POK), but one specially designed to handle a large file (or bitstring) F. We explore POR protocols here in which the communication costs, number of memory accesses for the prover, and storage requirements of the user (verifier) are small parameters essentially independent of the length of F. In addition to proposing new, practical POR constructions, we explore implementation considerations and optimizations that bear on previously explored, related schemes.In a POR, unlike a POK, neither the prover nor the verifier need actually have knowledge of F. PORs give rise to a new and unusual security definition whose formulation is another contribution of our work.We view PORs as an important tool for semi-trusted online archives. Existing cryptographic techniques help users ensure the privacy and integrity of files they retrieve. It is also natural, however, for users to want to verify that archives do not delete or modify files prior to retrieval. The goal of a POR is to accomplish these checks without users having to download the files themselves. A POR can also provide quality-of-service guarantees, i.e., show that a file is retrievable within a certain time bound.

Privacy preserving association rule mining in vertically partitioned data

As new fabrication and integration technologies reduce the cost and size of micro-sensors and wireless interfaces, it becomes feasible to deploy densely distributed wireless networks of sensors and actuators. These systems promise to revolutionize biological, earth, and environmental monitoring applications, providing data at granularities unrealizable by other means. In addition to the challenges of miniaturization, new system architectures and new network algorithms must be developed to transform the vast quantity of raw sensor data into a manageable stream of high-level data. To address this, we propose a tiered system architecture in which data collected at numerous, inexpensive sensor nodes is filtered by local processing on its way through to larger, more capable and more expensive nodes.We briefly describe Habitat monitoring as our motivating application and introduce initial system building blocks designed to support this application. The remainder of the paper presents details of our experimental platform.

The increasing volume of user-generated content on the web has made sentiment analysis an important tool for the extraction of information about the human emotional state. A current research focus for sentiment analysis is the improvement of granularity at aspect level, representing two distinct aims: aspect extraction and sentiment classification of product reviews and sentiment classification of target-dependent tweets. Deep learning approaches have emerged as a prospect for achieving these aims with their ability to capture both syntactic and semantic features of text without requirements for high-level feature engineering, as is the case in earlier methods. In this article, we aim to provide a comparative review of deep learning for aspect-based sentiment analysis to place different approaches in context.

Deep Learning for Aspect-Based Sentiment Analysis: A Comparative Review

With the rapid development of Internet technology and social networks, a large number of comment texts are generated on the Web. In the era of big data, mining the emotional tendency of comments through artificial intelligence technology is helpful for the timely understanding of network public opinion. The technology of sentiment analysis is a part of artificial intelligence, and its research is very meaningful for obtaining the sentiment trend of the comments. The essence of sentiment analysis is the text classification task, and different words have different contributions to classification. In the current sentiment analysis studies, distributed word representation is mostly used. However, distributed word representation only considers the semantic information of word, but ignore the sentiment information of the word. In this paper, an improved word representation method is proposed, which integrates the contribution of sentiment information into the traditional TF-IDF algorithm and generates weighted word vectors. The weighted word vectors are input into bidirectional long short term memory (BiLSTM) to capture the context information effectively, and the comment vectors are better represented. The sentiment tendency of the comment is obtained by feedforward neural network classifier. Under the same conditions, the proposed sentiment analysis method is compared with the sentiment analysis methods of RNN, CNN, LSTM, and NB. The experimental results show that the proposed sentiment analysis method has higher precision, recall, and F1 score. The method is proved to be effective with high accuracy on comments.

Sentiment Analysis of Comment Texts Based on BiLSTM

With the rapid development of the World Wide Web, electronic word-of-mouth interaction has made consumers active participants. Nowadays, a large number of reviews posted by the consumers on the Web provide valuable information to other consumers. Such information is highly essential for decision making and hence popular among the internet users. This information is very valuable not only for prospective consumers to make decisions but also for businesses in predicting the success and sustainability. In this paper, a Gini Index based feature selection method with Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier is proposed for sentiment classification for large movie review data set. The results show that our Gini Index method has better classification performance in terms of reduced error rate and accuracy.

A novel sentiment aware dictionary for multi-domain sentiment classification ☆

Medical data mining has great potential for exploring the hidden patterns in the data sets of the medical domain. These patterns can be utilized for the classification of various diseases. Data mining technology provides a user-oriented approach to novel and hidden patterns in the data. The present study consisted of records of 746 patients collected from ADRC, ISTAART, USA. Around eight hundred and ninety patients were recruited to ADRC and diagnosed for Alzheimer's disease (65%), vascular dementia (38%) and Parkinson's disease (40%), according to the established criteria. In our study we concentrated particularly on the major risk factors which are responsible for Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia and Parkinson's disease. This paper proposes a new model for the classification of Alzheimer's disease, vascular disease and Parkinson's disease by considering the most influencing risk factors. The main focus was on the selection of most influencing risk factors for both AD and PD using various attribute evaluation scheme with ranker search method. Different models for the classification of AD, VD and PD using various classification techniques such as Neural Networks (NN) and Machine Learning (ML) methods were also developed. It is observed that increase in the vascular risk factors increases the risk of Alzheimer's disease. It was found that some specific genetic factors, diabetes, age and smoking were the strongest risk factors for Alzheimer's disease. Similarly, for the classification of Parkinson's disease, the risk factors such as stroke, diabetes, genes and age were the vital factors.

Classification of Neurodegenerative Disorders Based on Major Risk Factors Employing Machine Learning Techniques

Real-time segmentation of moving regions in image sequences is a fundamental step in many vision systems including automated visual surveillance and human-machine interface. In this paper we present a framework for detecting some important but unknown knowledge like vehicle identification and traffic flow count. The objective is to monitor activities at traffic intersections for detecting congestions, and then predict the traffic flow which assists in regulating traffic. The present algorithm for vision-based detection and counting of vehicles in monocular image sequences for traffic scenes are recorded by a stationary camera. The method is based on the establishment of correspondences between regions and vehicles, as the vehicles move through the image sequence. Background subtraction is used which improves the adaptive background mixture model and makes the system learn faster and more accurately, as well as adapt effectively to changing environments. The resulting system robustly identifies vehicles at intersection, rejecting background and tracks vehicles over a specific period of time. Real-life traffic video sequences are used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Cloud computing is one of the significant development that utilizes progressive computational power and upgrades data distribution and data storing facilities. With cloud information services, it is essential for information to be saved in the cloud and also distributed across numerous customers. Cloud information repository is involved with issues of information integrity, data security and information access by unapproved users. Hence, an autonomous reviewing and auditing facility is necessary to guarantee that the information is effectively accommodated and used in the cloud. In this paper, a comprehensive survey on the state-of-art techniques in data auditing and security are discussed. Challenging problems in information repository auditing and security are presented.
