Multielement analysis of green coffee and its possible use for the determination of origin

TL;DR: In this paper, green coffees of the Arabica species produced in crop year 1987/88 in Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Papua New Guinea were analysed for the elements Ba, Br, C, Ca, Co, Cr, Cr and La.
Journal ArticleDOI

A graphite furnace electrothermal vaporization system for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.

TL;DR: An improved graphite furnace electrothermal vaporization device equipped with an autosampler for inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry is presented and the results obtained were the basis for further improvement of the interface design, leading to considerable increase of the total transport efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI

Direct determination of impurities in powdered silicon carbide by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry using the slurry sampling technique

TL;DR: In this paper, a direct method of analysis of powdered silicon carbide for the determination of Al, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Ti, V and Zn based on electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) using slurry sampling technique is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of platinum in enviromental and geological samples by radiochemical neutron activation analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a radiochemical neutron activation analysis technique was developed for the determination of traces of platinum in environmental and geological samples via the indicator radionuclide 199Au, based on the separation of gold on polyurethane foam from 1 M HCl.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radiotracer error-diagnostic investigation of selenium determination by hydride-generation atomic absorption spectrometry involving treatment with hydrogen peroxide and hydrochloric acid

TL;DR: In this paper, the radiotracer technique was used to find out the sources of systematic errors of a hydride generation AAS procedure for the determination of selenium in wastewater and other environmental samples.
