Journal ArticleDOI
Isospin Mixing of4−Particle-Hole States inO16
D. B. Holtkamp,W. J. Braithwaite,W. B. Cottingame,Steven J. Greene,R. J. Joseph,C. Fred Moore,C. L. Morris,J. Piffaretti,E. R. Siciliano,Henry A. Thiessen,D. Dehnhard +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, three-state isospin mixing is proposed as an explanation for off-diagonal charge-dependent mixing matrix elements of -147 +- 25 and -99 +- 17 keV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Target mass dependence of isotensor double charge exchange: Evidence for deltas in nuclei
Christopher Morris,H. T. Fortune,L.C. Bland,Ronald Gilman,Steven J. Greene,W. B. Cottingame,D. B. Holtkamp,G. R. Burleson,C. Fred Moore +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the forward-angle cross sections for double charge exchange on /sup 16/O, /sup 28/Si, and /sup 40/Ca at 164 MeV incident pion energy suggest an A/sup -4/3/ dependence.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mass dependence of pion double charge exchange
Ronald Gilman,H. T. Fortune,J. D. Zumbro,Charles M. Laymon,G. R. Burleson,J. A. Faucett,W. B. Cottingame,Christopher Morris,Peter A. Seidl,C. Fred Moore,L. C. Bland,Rex R. Kiziah,Shaul Mordechai,K. S. Dhuga +13 more
TL;DR: The mass dependence of double-isobaric-analog transitions and nonanalog ground-state-to-ground-state transitions in the energy region T/sub ..pi../ = 100 to 300 MeV is examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pion inelastic scattering to the low-lying excited states of /sup 6/Li
Rex R. Kiziah,M. Brown,C. J. Harvey,D. S. Oakley,D. P. Saunders,Peter A. Seidl,C. F. Moore,W. B. Cottingame,Robert W. Garnett,Steven J. Greene,G. A. Luna,G. R. Burleson,D. B. Holtkamp +12 more
TL;DR: The 3.563-MeV excitation function was observed for the natural-parity transitions to the 3/sup +/inelastic scattering to the 0/sup+/, T = 1, 3.25-MeVs.
Journal ArticleDOI
/sup 14/Be via pion double charge exchange
Ronald Gilman,H. T. Fortune,L. C. Bland,Rex R. Kiziah,C. Fred Moore,Peter A. Seidl,C. L. Morris,W. B. Cottingame +7 more
TL;DR: The /sup 14/Be nucleus has been produced in the reaction /SUP 14/C(..pi../sup -/,..pi/sup +/). The cross section for the reaction is roughly that which would be expected from the A/sup -4/3/ mass dependence observed for nonanalog (..pi/(n)/n) reactions on self-conjugate nuclei as discussed by the authors.
