Behavior of sulfur during coal pyrolysis

TL;DR: The behavior of sulfur in Illinois coals during pyrolysis was evaluated by thermogravimetry/ Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (TG/FT-IR) techniques as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Oxidation of a La2O3-modified aluminide coating

TL;DR: Peng et al. as discussed by the authors proposed a state key lab for corrosive and protect of bowling green in western kentucky univ, ctr mat characterizat, bowling green, ky 42101 usa.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinetic studies of mercury adsorption in activated carbon modified by iodine steam vapor deposition method

TL;DR: In this paper, a high efficiency activated carbon (AC) sorbent was developed for mercury removal, and the vapor deposition method was used to modify the raw AC and showed that AC modified by iodine steam vapor deposition has much better Hg capturing capacity than bromide deposition under the same experimental conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Enhancement of Mercury Capture by the Simultaneous Addition of Hydrogen Bromide (HBr) and Fly Ashes in a Slipstream Facility

TL;DR: Low halogen content in tested Powder River Basin coals and low loss of ignition content in PRB-derived fly ash were likely responsible for higher elemental mercury content in the flue gas and also lower mercury capture efficiency by electrostatic precipitator (ESP) and wet-FGD.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polyvinyl chloride/ montmorillonite nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this article, polyvinyl chloride (PVC)/organic-montmorillonite composites were prepared by melt intercalation and their structures and properties were investigated with X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and mechanical testing.
