Fusobacterium nucleatum Acts as a Pro-carcinogenic Bacterium in Colorectal Cancer: From Association to Causality.
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarized the biological characteristics of Fusobacterium nucleatum and the epidemiological associations between F. nucleatum, and highlighted the mechanisms by which F.ucleatum participates in CRC progression, metastasis, and chemoresistance by affecting cancer cells or regulating the tumor microenvironment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Altered gut microbiota after traumatic splenectomy is associated with endotoxemia
TL;DR: Significant alterations were observed in the gut microbiota of the splenectomized patients and were associated with plasma lipopolysaccharide level, and further studies are needed to verify whether such alterations after splenectomy are related to an increased risk of complications.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gut microbiota-based algorithms in the prediction of metachronous adenoma in colorectal cancer patients following surgery
Yang Liu,Rui Geng,Lujia Liu,Xiangren Jin,Wei Yan,Fuya Zhao,Shuang Wang,Xiao Guo,Ghanashyam Ghimire,Yunwei Wei +9 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the gut microbiota-based models and scoring system achieved good ability to predict the risk for developing MA after surgical resection, suggesting that gut microbiota is a potential predictive biomarker for MA.
Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized Clinical Trial: Probiotics Alleviated Oral-Gut Microbiota Dysbiosis and Thyroid Hormone Withdrawal-Related Complications in Thyroid Cancer Patients Before Radioiodine Therapy Following Thyroidectomy

Development and validation of survival nomograms in colorectal cancer patients with synchronous liver metastases underwent simultaneous surgical treatment of primary and metastatic lesions.
Xiao Guo,Yang Liu,Lujia Liu,Jun Li,Lei Zhao,Xiangren Jin,Wei Yan,Baiqiang Lin,Shang Shi,Zhi-Yong Li,Shuang Wang,Xin Wu,Hong-Ye Chen,Yang Shen,Yunwei Wei +14 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper used LASSO-Cox regression and Cox regression was applied to construct 1-, 3-and 5-year Overall Survival (OS) and cancer-specific Survival (CSS) nomograms.
