Journal ArticleDOI
The effects of chemical and organic fertilizer usage on rhizosphere soil in tea orchards.
TL;DR: Assessment of the effects of long-term use of chemical and organic fertilizers on tea and rhizosphere soil properties in tea orchards indicated that organic fertilizer treatment significantly decreased Cu, Pb and Cd contents in rhZosphere soil sample, and organic fertilizer significantly increased the amino acids content of tea and the pH of the soil.
Journal ArticleDOI
A positive response of rice rhizosphere to alternate moderate wetting and drying irrigation at grain filling stage
TL;DR: In this article, a field experiment with two irrigation regimes [alternate moderate wetting and drying irrigation (AMWD) and continuous irrigation (CI)] was conducted to investigate the changes in soil physical and chemical properties and microbial communities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cadmium-stress mitigation through gene expression of rice and silicon addition
TL;DR: The results obtained by this study suggested that the mitigation of Cd-toxicity on rice by Si might involve functions, such as the inhibition on Cd -uptake and transport and the enhancement on anti-oxidative enzyme activities, as well as the Lsi1-related expression on regulation of Si-uptake in rice.
Journal ArticleDOI
Rhizosphere responses to environmental conditions in Radix pseudostellariae under continuous monoculture regimes
Hongmiao Wu,Xianjin Qin,Juanying Wang,Linkun Wu,Jun Chen,Jingkai Fan,Lin Zheng,Haipeng Tangtai,Yasir Arafat,Weiwei Lin,Xiaomian Luo,Sheng Lin,Wenxiong Lin +12 more
TL;DR: The mechanisms underlying the shift in microflora and structural disorder caused by root exudates in continuously monocultured R. pseudostellariae rhizosphere soil through responses to environmental conditions are explained.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative proteomics study on Lsi1 in regulation of rice (Oryza sativa L.) cold resistance
Saadia Azeem,Zhong Li,Haiping Zheng,Weiwei Lin,Yasir Arafat,Zhixing Zhang,Xiangmin Lin,Wenxiong Lin +7 more
TL;DR: This study provides new insights into cold stress responses in rice seedlings triggered by Lsi1-overexpression defense pathway.
