The uniqueness of nanofluids in the field of thermal analysis and engineering is associated with their thermal conductivity and thermodynamics. The dynamics of water made up of (i) single-walled carbon nanotubes with larger magnitudes of thermal conductivity of different shapes (i.e., platelet, cylindrical, and spherical) and (ii) moderately small magnitudes of thermal conductivity (i.e., platelet magnesium oxide, cylindrical aluminum oxide, spherical silicon dioxide) were explored in order to address some scientific questions. In continuation of the exploration and usefulness of ternary hybrid nanofluid in hydrodynamics and geothermal systems, nothing is known on the comparative analysis between the two dynamics outlined above due to the bioconvection of static wedges and wedges with stretching at the wall. Reliable and valid numerical solutions of the governing equation that models the transport phenomena mentioned above are presented in this report. The heat transfer through the wall increased with the wall stretching velocity at a smaller rate of 0.52 and a higher rate of 0.59 when the larger and smaller thermal conductivity of nanoparticles were used, respectively. Larger or smaller magnitudes of the thermal conductivity of nanoparticles were used; the wall stretching velocity had no significant effects on the mass transfer rate but the distribution of the gyrotactic microorganism was strongly affected. Increasing the stretching at the wedge’s wall in the same direction as the transport phenomenon is suitable for decreasing the distribution of temperature owing to the higher velocity of ternary hybrid nanofluids either parallel or perpendicular to the wedge.

The welding experiment of Q245R and Q345R thickness plate was carried out by double wire submerged arc welding. And the welding results were analyzed by macroscopic metallography, microstructure observation and mechanical properties of welded joints. Results show that the double wire submerged arc welding can produce larger penetration, and ensure the weld width. It have better appearance of weld, and the mechanical performance fully meet the requirements of production technology. At the same time, comparison and analysis from the aspects of welding deposition efficiency about the single and double wire submerged arc welding welding process, further illustrates the double wire submerged arc welding can effectively improve the efficiency of welding, reducing welding costs, to meet the requirements of modern industrial manufacture various. It has a good application prospect.

The Research of Double Wire Submerged Arc Using in Medium Plate

Facile Preparation of Cross-Linked Polyester Composite Rubber with Excellent Mechanical Strength and High Toughness by Loading Adjustable Low-Cost Clay

Kevlar aerogel is a kind of easy-casting nano-porous material with the characteristics of low density, high porosity, low thermal conductivity, high specific surface area, etc. It can serve as functional fibers and has a bright future in the field of thermal insulation after being processed into fabrics. To improve the tensile power of aerogel fibers to bear more loads while maintaining their flexibility for further braiding, a series of Kevlar aerogel tapes were fabricated in this study by using flattened needles. It is observed that the resultant aerogel tapes show a spindle-like cross section, and have greatly improved load-bearing capability with muscular tensile strength up to 2.07 MPa. The use of a larger needle is conductive to preparing aerogel tapes that are more attractive in load-bearing, and increasing Kevlar concentration tends to result in more muscular tapes with improved breaking stress but reduced elasticity. Besides, these tapes also inherit the excellent thermal stability and char-forming ability of Kevlar, starting to decompose at around 500°C and producing carbon residue more than 40% of their initial weight at 700°C. In addition, these Kevlar aerogel tapes also perform well in terms of thermal insulation. When exposed to a hot plate of 300 °C, the fabric braided from these aerogel tapes show a considerable temperature drop per unit thickness as high as 120°C mm−1. It can be envisaged that the developed aerogel tapes with muscular tensile strength and their fabric products will be promising for high-temperature thermal insulation applications, such as being used as the insulation layer for thermal protective clothing.
