Effect of deep tempering on microstructure and hardness of carburized M50NiL steel

TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of the temperature and times of deep tempering on the microstructure and hardness of the steel were studied, and the results showed that the deep medium-temperature tempering is beneficial to the dissolution of large-size carbides in the carburized layer of steel at the initial state, uniform distribution of carbides, and precipitation of granular carbides from lath martensite.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of residual stress and microstructure evolution on size stability of M50 bearing steel

TL;DR: In this article, the relationship among the size change, residual stress and carbide precipitation of M50 bearing steel at working temperatures was studied by means of the measurement of the residual stress, and the observation of the microstructure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of nano-bainite microstructure and residual stress on friction properties of M50 bearing steel

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of nano-bainite microstructure and residual stress on friction properties of M50 bearing steel was analyzed after austempered at 200°C for 2h, 16h and 32h.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Carbide Precipitation Behavior at High Temperatures on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of M50 Steel

TL;DR: In this paper , the effect of carbide precipitation behavior at high temperatures on microstructure and mechanical properties of M50 steel was studied by means of micro-structure observation, phase analysis and mechanical-property tests, and it was shown that during quenching process, the 5min heat holding at 790 °C promotes the precipitation of carbides along grain boundaries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of isothermal quenching on microstructure and hardness of GCr15 steel

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of isothermal quenching on the bainite transformation, the size and area fraction of carbides in GCr15 steel was studied through hardness measurement and microstructure observation.
