Creep behavior and microstructure evaluation of welded joint in dissimilar modified 9Cr–1Mo steels

TL;DR: In this paper, the creep behavior and microstructure before and after creep test of the dissimilar modified 9Cr-1Mo steels welded joint were investigated in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI

A comparative study on fiber laser and CO2 laser welding of Inconel 617

TL;DR: In this article, a comparative study on the influence of fiber laser welding and CO2 laser welding on the weld bead geometry and the microstructure of fusion zone (FZ) of Inconel 617 was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on fatigue property and microstructure characteristics of welded nuclear power rotor with heavy section

TL;DR: In this article, the microstructure properties of NiCrMoV rotor made by narrow gap submerged arc welding (NG-SAW) were systematically reported, and it was found that the fatigue crack propagation threshold (ΔKth) of the base metal (BM), weld metal (WM) and heat affected zone (HAZ) was higher than that of WM and HAZ as stress ratio (R) was 0.1, but ΔKth was very close to each other as R increased.
Journal ArticleDOI

Grain refinement of Cr25Ni5Mo1.5 duplex stainless steel by heat treatment

TL;DR: In this article, a technology employing σ transformation and its reverse transformation to refine grain of duplex stainless steels has been devised, and the experimental results indicated that the σ phases nucleate and grow both at the α/γ phase interfaces and in the interior of the α phases when the temperature was higher, whereas the γ phases nucleated at the δ phase interfaces primarily when a lower temperature was used.
Journal ArticleDOI

Liquation cracking in fiber laser welded joints of inconel 617

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated liquation cracking in the fiber laser welding Inconel 617 joint under different heat input and preheating conditions and found that the continuous (Cr, Mo)-rich phase is re-solidified due to the continuous liquid film along GBs during solidification.
