A fast image encryption algorithm based on chaotic map

Emotions appear to be a key determinant of behavior in cooperative relationships. Emotions affect behavior both directly, by motivating action, and indirectly, as actors anticipate others’ emotional responses. The influence of emotions is understandable once it is recognized that (a) the ability to benefit from cooperative relationships has been a key determinant of biological fitness throughout our species’ history, and (b) panhuman emotions are adaptations crafted by natural selection. Different emotions affect cooperative behavior in different ways: some emotions lead actors to forego the temptation to defect, some lead them to reciprocate harm suffered or benefits provided, and some lead them to repair damaged relationships. An important class of emotions influences cooperative behavior in part by motivating conformity to norms and/or punishment of norm violators. This chapter discusses thirteen emotions that seem to have the greatest impact on cooperation. In addition to reviewing empirical evidence of the role of emotions in cooperation, the chapter presents a variety of explanatory hypotheses and provides a number of discrete testable predictions.

Genetic and cultural evolution of cooperation

Four relations are defined the use of which allow a reliability network to be expressed as a mathematical statement. Series and active and standby redundancy connections are allowed. The possibility of requiring more than one of the active branches to be operative is included. At the very least the result allows for typing in place of drawing a network description.

A hyper-chaos-based image encryption algorithm using pixel-level permutation and bit-level permutation

The failed nodes lead to the phenomenon of coverage holes in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), which is due to the exhausted energy or destroyed environment. In this paper, the Best Fit Node Policy (BFNP) is proposed to repair coverage holes of WSN. The main idea of Best Fit Node Policy (BFNP) is that WSN detects the coverage holes when the base station has found the failed nodes of network, and selects the closest inactive node to the center of the minimal coverage circle of the polygon that surrounds the hole and then replaces the failed nodes, meanwhile activates the closest inactive node to repair the coverage holes. The simulation results show that Best Fit Node Policy can maintain better quality of coverage, make higher utilization of energy resources, and extend lifetime of networks. In conclusion, BFNP performs superior to the Coverage Hole Patching Algorithm (CHPA).

Repair Policies of Coverage Holes Based Dynamic Node Activation in Wireless Sensor Networks

In smart space applications, we usually adopt semantic Web technologies for supporting pervasive context-aware ability to process many onerous tasks, e. g., knowledge sharing, context reasoning and interoperability. In order to achieve above purpose, it is necessary to exploit a Shared Ontologies for Pervasive Computing (SO4PC). These ontologies are expressed with standard Web Ontology Language(OWL) and include modular component vocabularies to represent intelligent agents with associated beliefs, desires, intentions, time, space, events, user profiles, actions, policies for security and private protection. We discuss how SO4PC can be extended and used to support the applications of Smart Meeting Rooms (SMR) which is a broker-centric agent architecture.

The Design and Implementation of Shared Ontologies for Smart Space Application

The flow fluctuations in the highly dynamic Internet of Vehicles (IoV) make the IoV difficult to provide reliable and scalable wireless network services for the emerging applications in the 5 G and beyond era. The software-defined networks (SDN) could feasibly manage and optimize the network according to the network load. Controller placement is a critical problem in SDN to achieve its robustness and flexibility with the changes of network status. Motivated by the advantages of SDN and Mobile-edge computing (MEC), this paper aims at enhancing the performance of IoV with the assistance of these two. Specifically, we consider a three-layer hierarchical SDN control plane for the IoV, where the SDN controllers are placed at the edge of networks. Under this framework, we investigate a multi-objective optimization problem on controller placement problem including delay, load balancing, and path reliability. To efficiently solve the formulated NP-hard problems, we develop an algorithm based on multi-agent deep Q-learning networks (MADQN) because of its advantages for large-scale combinatorial optimization. At last, we use multi-process technology to accelerate the operation of the algorithm, so as to complete the algorithm iteration faster. Numerical results show that the proposed methods achieve better performances than three baselines.

MEC-Based Dynamic Controller Placement in SD-IoV: A Deep Reinforcement Learning Approach

We propose an improved image encryption algorithm based on hyper chaotic system and permutation-diffusion structure. In the permutation process, the algorithm introduces plain-text feedback mechanism that makes the permutation effect not only associated with the chaotic sequences, but also related to plain-text. And in the diffusion process, the algorithm introduces both cipher-text and plain-text feedback mechanisms to diffuse the permuted image. All of these methods make the mapping-relationship between cipher-text and plain-text as well as secret keys more complex. At last, the security analysis such as key space analysis, histograms, correlation coefficients, information entropy, key sensitivity analysis, plaintext sensitivity, speed analysis. We also perform series evaluation experiments, experimental results show that the proposed image encryption scheme is of very good performance on security and reliability, with high potential to be adopted for the secure image communication applications.
