Exact solutions for the bending of Timoshenko beams using Eringen’s two-phase nonlocal model:

TL;DR: In this article, a nonlocal differential model has been used to predict the size effect in nanostructures, but this model often gives rise to paradoxes, such as the cantilever.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study of the critical strain of hyperelastic materials: A new kinematic frame and the leading order term

TL;DR: In this paper, a new kinematic frame, which takes into account the characteristics of the material, is firstly proposed to consider a hyperelastic rectangular layer under compression, and the simplified model equations are derived with the aid of virtual principal and asymptotic expansion method.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic response of beams under moving loads with finite deformation

TL;DR: In this article, a novel material parameter-dependent model is proposed to investigate the nonlinear vibration of a beam under a moving load within a finite deformation framework, and the results show that both the material parameter and geometrical parameter have the effect of reducing the amplitude of the forced vibration, increasing the speed of the fluctuation and the critical velocity for the moving load.
Journal ArticleDOI

Size-Dependent Free Vibration of Axially Moving Nanobeams Using Eringen’s Two-Phase Integral Model

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of parameters on critical velocity and natural frequency of axially moving nanobeams were analyzed using Eringen's two-phase nonlocal integral model for the first time.
