Journal ArticleDOI

The comparison of coronary angiographic profiles between diabetic and nondiabetic patients with coronary artery disease in a Chinese population.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated angiographic profiles of the coronary arteries in diabetic CAD patients in comparison with nondiabetics, finding that the right coronary artery was significantly more frequently involved in the diabetics.
Journal ArticleDOI

Impact of the metabolic syndrome and its individual components on risk and severity of coronary heart disease.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that individual components of MetS and their various combinations may have different contributions to CHD and the severity of coronary artery stenosis and clinical focus should remain on establishing optimum-risk algorithms for CHD.
Journal ArticleDOI

MicroRNA-124 promotes hepatic triglyceride accumulation through targeting tribbles homolog 3.

TL;DR: It is shown that MicroRNA-124 was up-regulated in the livers of C57BL/6 mice fed a short-term high-fat-diet (HFD) and identified tribbles homolog 3 (TRB3) as a direct target of miR-124, which played a role in mediating high- Fat-Diet induced TG accumulation in the liver.
Journal ArticleDOI

Relationships between C-reactive protein, white blood cell count, and insulin resistance in a Chinese population

TL;DR: CRP might be a more effective biomarker in terms of the association with IR and individuals with both high levels of CRP and WBC were at higher risks of IR than those with high CRP or WBC alone.
