Journal ArticleDOI

Spin-polarized x-ray emission of 3d transition-metal ions : A comparison via K alpha and K beta detection

TL;DR: In this article, a spin-polarized analysis of K alpha x-ray emission and the excitation spectra by K alpha detection on a Ni compound is reported, and a systematic analysis of the first-row transition-metal ions using the ligand-field multiplet calculation is presented for K alpha and K beta emission spectra.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spin-polarized and site-selective X-ray absorption. Demonstration with Fe porphyrins and Kβ detection

TL;DR: In this article, high-spin and low-spin Fe(III) porphyrins were studied by high-resolution X-ray fluorescence and fluorescence-detected Xray absorption spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

X-ray magnetic circular dichroism spectra and distortions at Fe2+ L2,3 edges

TL;DR: In this paper, the shape of X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) spectra changes drastically with the distortion parameter Ds, and the temperature dependence study of XMCD makes it possible to determine both Ds and spin-orbit coupling.
