Weather monitoring plays an important role in human life, so the collection of information about the temporal dynamics of weather changes is very important. In any industry during certain hazards it is very important to monitor weather. The fundamental aim of this paper is to develop an embedded system to design a weather monitoring system which enables the monitoring of weather parameters in an industry. Such a system contains pair of sensors like temperature, Gas and humidity will be monitored and LPC1768 microcontroller (ARM9). The data from the sensors are collected by the microcontroller and also microcontroller sends the sensors data in to the LABVIEW by using the Serial Communication and this module will keep the data in excel page & also we can get the SMS in the mobile with the help of GSM module. The system uses a compact circuitry built around LPC1768 (ARM9) microcontroller Programs are developed in Embedded C using the IDE Keiluvision4. JTAG is used for loading programs into Microcontroller.

Design and Implementation of Weather Monitoring and Controlling System

This paper proposes the design of real-time weather monitoring system based on a mobile application using Automatic Weather Station (AWS). The system connects to the AWS equipped with several sensors for collecting data and storing the data to the web server. Data from weather sensor is taken from the AWS-Davis Instrument using the WeatherLink software. The data is transmitted through the data logger using serial communication, uploaded via FTP and stored on a webserver. The Android application reads the files and displays the information provided by the web server in real-time. The system has successfully show real-time monitoring of weather through the mobile application with a flexibility in the parameters and the need of user interface (UI) design compared to the other solution.

Design of real-time weather monitoring system based on mobile application using automatic weather station

This paper presents the development of a prototype weather station to measure the following weather data: air temperature, relative humidity, dew point, wind speed, and rainfall. The weather station, which has been designed for remote operation, performs automatic or unmanned measurements of weather data and transmits it wirelessly to a PC for logging and display by means of a graphical user interface. The remote station is powered using solar energy through a battery which also stores charge for a 24-hour operation of the system. Experimental results show that the measured data is quite consistent with those obtained by similar weather measurement devices.

Development of a Remote Automatic Weather Station with a PC- based Data Logger

This work is focused on the design and construction of a low cost weather station which makes weather related data available for different purposes such as agriculture, aviation weather forecasting, etc. The design is made up of an outdoor module which measures four weather elements (temperature, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity and wind speed) through their respective sensors. This module transmits the sampled data wirelessly through radio frequency (RF) to an indoor module which receives the data and automatically logs the data to a database. A MATLAB® based graphical user interface (GUI) was also incorporated to view the logged data and perform some setup operations on the system.

Design and Construction of a Low Cost Digital Weather Station

Weather monitoring holds great importance and have uses in several areas ranging from keeping track of agricultural field weather conditions to industrial conditions monitoring. Weather monitoring plays an important role in human life, so the collection of information about weather changes is very important. This paper describes a weather monitoring system which enables the monitoring of weather parameters like Temperature, Humidity and Light intensity. Sensor module includes the sensors like temperature, humidity and light sensor. The system is developed using ZigBee wireless module. The measured weather parameters are Temperature, Humidity and Light intensity. The developed system is cost effective, compact and portable.
