TL;DR: Very sharp photoemission spectra have been obtained from the Si(111)-(1 \ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{} 1):H and Si( 111)-( 1 \ ifmmode/times/else/texttimes/fi{ } 1):D surfaces prepared by a simple well-defined in situ method as mentioned in this paper.

High-resolution core-level studies of silicon surfaces
