Influence of Mo2C and TaC additions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti(C, N)-based cermets

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of Mo 2 C and TaC additions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti(C, N)-based cermets prepared through the powder metallurgical method were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and mechanical property tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Mo and Co additions on the microstructure and properties of WC-TiC-Ni cemented carbides

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of 1.0 wt.% additions of Mo and Co on the microstructure and properties of WC-TiC-Ni cemented carbides were investigated using scanning electron microscope, mechanical properties tests, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance tests.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fabrication and SPS microstructures of Ti–45Al–8.5Nb–(W,B,Y) alloying powders

TL;DR: In this article, a typical fully lamellar (FL) microstructure along with two types of microsegregations, such as β and α-segregation, is successfully formed at 1200°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effects of LaB6 addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrafine grained WC–10Co alloys

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of LaB6 addition on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the ultrafine grain WC-10Co alloys were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and mechanical property testing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure and mechanical properties of as-cast Ti–45Al–8.5Nb–(W,B,Y) alloy with industrial scale

TL;DR: In this paper, a fully lamellar (FL) microstructure was observed in the center and the rim of the different parts for the ingot after heat treatment, and three microsegregations were identified in the FL micro-structure, i.e. β (B2) phase, borides and yttrium oxide.
