Le nombre rarissime d'ouvrages en langue francaise traitant de la bibliometrie est deconcertant. Pourtant cette discipline met a disposition des methodes d'analyse des savoirs scientifiques et des savoir-faire techniques sans equivalent. Le materiau de base de la bibliometrie, l'information bibliographique et de facon plus large l'information textuelle, en fait un outil de choix pour la connaissance de l'environnement d'une entreprise ou d'un organisme. Un tel ouvrage devrait constituer un document de choix pour tous les specialistes de la veille et de l'information scientifique, technique et technologique. Le bench marking, l'analyse concurrentielle, le besoin d'innover mettent en jeu un aspect informationnel important. La bibliometrie apporte dans ce domaine une organisation et un classement des informations facilitant cette demarche indispensable a l'evolution des entreprises et des organismes. La bibliométrie et ses techniques

Technology acceptance model plays a signified issue in the information systems field since this theory was introduced by Davis in 1989. This paper investigates the features of technology acceptance model literature based on bibliometric method. By searching the ISI Web of knowledge database under the keyword of “technology acceptance model,” 689 articles were retrieved and analyzed though growth of the literatures and citation, document type, publication countries, subject area, keyword analysis are addressed. The distribution of journal paper was also examined using Bradford’s law and Lotka’s law. As the result, this research found that technology acceptance model literature has a steady growth as well as the citations. Relevant articles were concentrating on computer science, information systems, management, information science, and library science. The author productivity distribution data in technology acceptance literature was consistent with Lotka’s law. Furthermore, eight core journals were identified utilizing the Bradford’s law.

The Literature Review of Technology Acceptance Model: A Study of the Bibliometric Distributions

This study explains the application of three bibliometric tools for the exploration of the maturity of the information society as a field of research. The authors discovered a disparity between the realization of the information society in everyday life and the state of the research in the area which is at a fairly early stage of evolving into a mature research discipline. Preliminary analysis of the data uncovers the three disciplinary foundations as Library and Information Science, Communication, and Information systems. The Bradford distribution reveals that the core of information society journals is not yet fully established. Journal citation and self-citation patterns lend further support for this and help identify which journals are firmly part of the core and which are less so. Finally, research collaboration patterns demonstrate that this area of research is moving towards disciplinary maturity. The paper concludes with some practical and academic recommendations.

The information society

Tourism innovation related researches still rely on explorative and qualitative cases, this paper describe the distribution of journals, literatures, publication countries, and subject area. The relative literature is collected by querying the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) of ISI Web of knowledge database. In this database, collecting the tourism innovation papers is convenient. Data from citation indexes can be analyzed to determine the popularity and impact of specific articles, and publications. The results will provide the distribution of core journals, and depict the trends and feature of tourism innovation research.

A Research Growth of Tourism Innovation from Bibliometric Perspective

.. This paper analyses the scholarly contribution of S R Ranganathan as reflected in Google Scholar Citations, Web of Science, and Scopus. This paper also identifies popularity of his published works, particularly which are highly referred by the researchers and LIS curriculum designers. His top three highly cited books are namely Prolegomena to Library Classification, The Five Laws of Library Science, and Colon Classification. His top three highly referred journal articles are titled “Hidden Roots of Classification”, “Subject Heading and Facet Analysis”, and “Colon Classification Edition 7 (1971): A Preview”. This paper identifies the articles that cited his works extensively and got considerable citations from the other researchers. Top citing journal articles are namely "The Need for a Faceted Classification as the Basis of All Methods of Information Retrieval", “Ranganathan and the Net: Using Facet Analysis to Search and Organise the World Wide Web” and "Grounded Classification: Grounded Theory and Faceted Classification". These citing articles also indicate that Ranganathan is very relevant to today’s researchers in interdisciplinary areas, particularly which belong to the fields of computer applications and information systems.

By applying of Bradford's law to analysis of the source documents and their references by classification systems researchers in the world, this paper presents core authors of the field during the period 1981–1990. The findings show that 1) core authors of the international classification systems literature are the Library of Congress, M. Dewey, S. Ranganathan, J. Comaromi, A. Neelameghan, L. Chan and K. Markey; 2) the highly cited authors are linked either to the developers of the classification systems or to a research center, or else they authored the most frequently cited books; and 3) the data confirms to Bradford's law and the unusual rising tail of Bradford distribution is appeared and explained.
