Magnetostratigraphy of Plio-Pleistocene sediments in a 1700-m core from Osaka Bay, southwestern Japan and short geomagnetic events in the middle Matuyama and early Brunhes chrons

TL;DR: A magnetic polarity stratigraphy spanning more than the past 3.2 Myr was determined for a long 1545 m continuous sedimentary sequence of marine, fluvial, and lacustrine deposits from the Osaka Basin, southwestern Japan as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatial and temporal variation of aseismic creep along the dilational jog of the West Valley Fault, Philippines: Hazard implications

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show that the acceleration of vertical displacement is related to the timing of faster extraction rates and that local differences in groundwater extraction are primarily due to regional differences in water extraction, which are influenced by differences in the implementation of water extraction reduction regulations.
