Due to the significance of hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)) in biological systems and its practical applications, the development of efficient electrochemical H(2)O(2) sensors holds a special attraction for researchers Various materials such as Prussian blue (PB), heme proteins, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and transition metals have been applied to the construction of H(2)O(2) sensors In this article, the electrocatalytic H(2)O(2) determinations are mainly focused on because they can provide a superior sensing performance over non-electrocatalytic ones The synergetic effect between nanotechnology and electrochemical H(2)O(2) determination is also highlighted in various aspects In addition, some recent progress for in vivo H(2)O(2) measurements is also presented Finally, the future prospects for more efficient H(2)O(2) sensing are discussed

Recent advances in electrochemical sensing for hydrogen peroxide: a review

Graphene (GN) has received intense interest in fields such as physics, chemistry, biology and materials science due to its exceptional electrical, mechanical, thermal and optical properties as well as its unique two-dimensional (2D) structure and large surface area. Recently, GN–inorganic nanocomposites have been opened up an exciting new field in the science and technology of GN. From the viewpoint of chemistry and materials, this account presents an overview of the synthesis and application of GN–inorganic nanocomposites. The challenges and perspective of these emerging nanocomposites are also discussed.

Graphene─inorganic nanocomposites

Graphene, one kind of emerging carbon nanomaterial, has attracted increasing attention recently. Due to its fascinating physical and electrochemical properties, graphene as a promising electrode material has been widely used in electrochemical sensing applications. In this review, different approaches for the fabrication of graphene and the preparation of graphene-modified electrodes for electrochemical sensors are introduced. Moreover, recent research results on different graphene-based materials as an electrochemical platform for the detection of various biomolecules and chemicals are reviewed and compared. More electrochemical studies on this novel material should show up in the near future.

Graphene‐Based Electrochemical Sensors

We are reviewing the state of electrochemical sensing of H2O2 based on the use of metal nanoparticles. The article is divided into subsections on sensors based on nanoparticles made from Ag, Pt, Pd, Cu, bimetallic nanoparticles and other metals. Some sensors display high sensitivity, fast response, and good stability. The review is subdivided into sections on sensors based on heme proteins and on nonenzymatic sensors. We also discussed the challenges of nanoscaled sensors and their future aspects.
