Development of a cloud point extraction and preconcentration method for silver prior to flame atomic absorption spectrometry

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the possibility of using 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT) for Ag(I) concentration by micellar extraction at cloud point (CP) temperature and subsequent determination by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS).
Journal ArticleDOI

Assay of Total Mercury in Commercial Food Supplements of Marine Origin by Means of DLLME/ICP-AES

TL;DR: In this article, Dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction was successfully employed for the preconcentration of mercury at trace levels prior to inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of Trace Amounts of Palladium in Water Samples by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry after Dispersive Liquid-Liquid Microextraction

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple, rapid, and powerful microextraction technique was used for determination of palladium (II) ion in water samples using dispersive liquid liquid micro extraction (DLLME) followed by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GF AAS), the different variables affecting the complexation and extraction conditions such as extraction and disperser solvent type, extraction time, pH, and concentration of chelating agent were optimized.
Journal ArticleDOI

A novel methodology based on solvents less dense than water through dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction: application in quantitation of L-ascorbate in fruit juices and soft drinks by fiber optic-linear array detection spectrophotometry

TL;DR: The accuracy of the method was confirmed by parallel analyses as the reference method (ISO 6557/2), and l-Ascorbate was selected as a model compound and the proposed method was carried out for preconcentration and assay of iodine produced by reduction of potassium iodate in fruit juices, soft drinks and pharmaceutical preparations.

Headspace Solid Phase Microextraction Using a Porous-layer Activated Charcoal Coating Fused Silica Fiber for Identification of Volatile Organic Compounds Emitted by Zataria multiflora Boiss

TL;DR: In this paper, a laboratory-made porous-layer activated charcoal coated fused silica fiber was used as a microsolid phase in headspace solid phase microextraction coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry for identification of volatile organic compounds emitted by Zataria multiflora Boiss cultivated in Iran.
