PURPOSE:To provide the liquid crystal display body having high display quality and reliability by setting the specific resistance of a liquid crystal/high polymer composite film at nearly the same value as a liquid crystal alone and using a lateral type MIM element as a driving element. CONSTITUTION:A high-polymer matrix 1 of a grid shape or mesh shape, etc., is previously formed by curing a photosetting resin and a liquid crystal is penetrated into this matrix 1. Since the direct contact of the photosetting resin in a low molecular state and the liquid crystal does not arise, the low molecular impurities do not infiltrate the liquid crystal. The specific resistance of the liquid crystal/high polymer composite film is, therefore, maintained at nearly the same specific resistance of the liquid crystal alone. Further, the MIM element can increase the voltage to be impressed to the liquid crystal material as compared with a TFT material and, therefore, this element is convenient for driving the liquid crystal/high polymer composite film having the threshold voltage slightly higher than the threshold voltage of the ordinary liquid crystal materials. Further, the capacity of the element itself is small and, therefore, the capacity ratio between the liquid crystal material and the element is increased by decreasing the capacity of the MIM element without reducing the thickness of the liquid crystal cell.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide door for an ice making machine wherein the slide door is prevented from colliding with a handle portion at the time of opening and closing the slide door, and hereby damage of the handle portion is prevented. SOLUTION: An ice making machine comprises an ice making unit IM equipped with an ice making mechanism and an ice storage unit that is closed by two slide doors 34, 35 and that is formed with a heat insulating material to store ice made with the ice making unit and is slidable left and right in a front surface opening. Each slide door 34, 35 includes opening/closing handle sections 36, 37 provided on door surfaces thereof, and a cutout section 38 is provided in the front side slide door 34 for escaping the handle section 37 of the rear side slide door 35.
