Distribution network inspection plays an important role in discovering defects and faults in time, arranging maintenance, and improving the reliability of power supply network. Aiming at the problem that the existing inspection data acquisition of distribution network mainly depends on manual mode and the automation level needs to be improved, a vehicle based data acquisition system is designed. The system structure, hardware and software are presented, and the system has been applied to the practical inspection tasks and improving the efficiency of distribution network inspection.

Electric Distribution Network Geographic Information System(GIS) is used in electric enterprise generally now.GIS have an advantage in AutoMap and Facility Manage(AM/FM),but the Facility Inspection,Facility Position and the field management must make full use of the Intelligent Inspection Management System.The integration between Electric Distribution Network Geographic Information System and Intelligent Inspection Management System can take advantage of the potential of each other.
