Efficient and Practical Arene Hydrogenation by Heterogeneous Catalysts under Mild Conditions

TL;DR: The use of Ru /C, less expensive than Rh/C, affords an effective and practical method for the hydrogenation of arenes including phenols.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ligand-free Pd/C-catalyzed Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction for the synthesis of heterobiaryl derivatives

TL;DR: A mild and efficient protocol for the ligand-free and heterogeneous Pd/C-catalyzed hetero Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction that allows for the synthesis of both hetero Daryl-aryl and heteroaryl-heteroaryl derivatives in good to excellent yields.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemoselective hydrogenation method catalyzed by Pd/C using diphenylsulfide as a reasonable catalyst poison

TL;DR: In order to achieve chemoselective hydrogenation using Pd/C, Wang et al. as discussed by the authors investigated catalyst poison as a controller of the catalyst activity, and they found that the addition of Ph 2 S (diphenylsulfide) to the pd/c-catalyzed hydrogenation reaction mixture led to reasonable deactivation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Novel Palladium-on-Carbon/Diphenyl Sulfide Complex for Chemoselective Hydrogenation : Preparation, Characterization, and Application

TL;DR: A diphenyl sulfide immobilized on palladium-on-carbon system, Pd/C[Ph2S], was developed to achieve the highly chemoselective hydrogenation of alkenes, acetylenes, azides, and nitro groups in the presence of aromatic ketones, halides, benzyl esters, and N-Cbz protective groups as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ligand‐Free and Heterogeneous Palladium on Carbon‐Catalyzed Hetero‐Suzuki–Miyaura Cross‐Coupling

TL;DR: A ligand-free and heterogeneous palladium on carbon (Pd/C)-catalyzed hetero-Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction has been developed in this article.
