PURPOSE: To improve the rejecting capability for unnecessary input without lowering the input efficiency by defining and registering words which are inputted unnecessarily with high probability as a word group to be rejected in addition to a word group to be recognized by states. CONSTITUTION: An input voice is recognized as to both a correctly recognized term group and a rejected term group. When the input voice is recognized as one word in the correctly recognized term group, it is recognized as a correct word, but when it is recognized as a word in the rejected term group, it is rejected as unnecessary input. Thus, even if a speech in the rejected term word is inputted by mistake, the possibility of misrecognition is greatly reduced. If the voice is recognized as neither correct input nor a rejected term with more than certain accuracy, it is rejected.

PURPOSE: To reduce the load of user's speaking frequency by previously storing vocalization variation rules in the voice recognition device, retrieving a reference pattern frequently generating vocalization variation out of voices registered in reference patterns and generating a spectrum pattern obtained by substituting a prescribed spectrum for the corresponding position CONSTITUTION: Which reference pattern frequently generates spectrum variation can be detected by judging whether the vocalization variation rules can be applied to the phonemic systems of respective registered reference patterns or not When matching processing between the corresponding reference pattern and vowel reference pattern is executed, a position on which spectrum variation is to be frequently generated can be specified and a prescribed spectrum is substituted for the spectrum of the position to generate a multi-reference pattern Thus the multi-reference pattern can be automatically registered and user's much speaking work for preparing the multi-reference pattern can be reduced

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of the whole equipment and to facilitate the maintenance by arranging plural cleaning members at vertical intervals, connecting the cleaning members by pendent members to form a cleaning unit and making the angle of each cleaning member variabe by the operation of the pendent members. CONSTITUTION:A device for cleaning water has a chemical mixing basin 20, a flocculating and settling basin 21 and a filter basin. In the basin 21, a line of various kinds of settling units 27-33 and a line of straightening units 34-36 are arranged along the flow direction of water. The units 27-36 each are constituted by connecting a lot of catching plates 43 or straightening plates 59 by for pendent members 60 at prescribed intervals. Each pendent member 60 is hung and supported on the end of a set of two arms 52 fixed to a beam 40 at the upper end. The catching plates 93 in the settling units 27-33 are arranged parallel to the surface of the water and the straightening plates 59 in the straightening units 34-36 are arranged at an upward or downward slope and these configurtions are set by the operation of the pendent members 60.
