An Experimental and Numerical Study of Regulating Performance and Flow Loss in a V-Port Ball Valve
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the V-angle on valve performance and internal flow properties via experiments and numerical simulations was investigated, and it was shown that an increase in either Vangle or valve opening causes a large pressure fluctuation near the valve outlet, thus leading to a long pressure-stable distance.

Numerical Simulation and Analysis of Solid-liquid Two-phase Flow in Centrifugal Pump
TL;DR: In this article, the three-dimensional, steady, incompressible, and turbulent solid-liquid two-phase flows in a low-specific-speed centrifugal pump are numerically simulated and analyzed by using a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code based on the mixture model of the twophase flow and the RNG k-ε two-equation turbulence model, in which the influences of rotation and curvature are fully taken into account.
