Journal ArticleDOI

Biological control agents colonize litchi fruit during storage and stimulate physiological responses to delay pericarp browning

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show that the four bacterial strains Bacillus licheniformis HS10, B. amyloliquefaciens LI24 and PP19, and Exiguobacterium acetylicum SI17 can delay fruit browning in both laboratory trials and field plus laboratory trials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Kinase Hog1 and Adr1 Opposingly Regulate Haploid Cell Morphology by Controlling Vacuole Size in Sporisorium scitamineum

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that MAP kinase Hog1 and cAMP/PKA signaling pathways are essential for the morphological development of S. scitamineum by controlling the vacuolar size and cell wall permeability, which contributes to the cell size and determines the cellular elongation rates.

Escherichia coli strain reformed by gene engineering, and applications thereof

TL;DR: In this article, an Escherichia coli strain reformed by gene engineering, and applications thereof was revealed. But the method for improving the defense ability byincreasing the content of the hormone methyl jasmonate in the plant does not affect the growth of the plant.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aminotransferase SsAro8 Regulates Tryptophan Metabolism Essential for Filamentous Growth of Sugarcane Smut Fungus Sporisorium scitamineum

TL;DR: This study establishes the aminotransferase SsAro8 as an essential regulator of S. scitamineum pathogenic differentiation, as well as fungus-host interaction, and therefore of great potential as a molecular target for sugarcane smut disease control.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gram-negative bacteria resist antimicrobial agents by a DzrR-mediated envelope stress response

TL;DR: In this article , a two-component system regulator DzrR of D. oryzae EC1 mediates ESR in the presence of envelope-targeting antimicrobial agents.
