This paper analyzes the deficiencies of current trust systems based on PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), ambiguity certificate principal information, and complicated identification process. Inspired by biologic gene technique, we propose a novel Cloud Trust model based on Family Gene (CTFG) model. The model answers the existing questions in tradition trust model by adopting the technology of family gene. The concepts and formal definitions of Family Gene in the cloud trust security domains are given. Then, the mathematical models of Family Gene are established. Our theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the model is a good solution to cloud trust domain.

Study on enhancing performance of Cloud Trust model with Family Gene technology

A data processing system (100) comprises: a database (4); a host computer (3) and a user computer (1) capable of communicating with each other over a network (2); wherein the user computer sends a data request message (RQ) to the host computer (3), the request message containing Data information (RD), Identity information (RI), and Authenticity information (A; VI), wherein the host computer (3) checks the authentication information and only sends the required data if the Identity information (RI) defines an authorized user and the authentication information (A; VI) authenticates the user identification information. The request message further contains secondary information (RT) and the host computer (3) calculates, from the secondary- information, a reliability value (R), compares the calculated reliability value with a predefined reliability threshold, and sends the required data only if the reliability value is at least as high as the reliability threshold.

Study on Enhancing Performance of Ad Hoc Trust Model with Family Gene Technology

To set up various kinds of application system on moving Ad Hoc network, an effective mechanism for security assurance has to be provided. The paper puts forward the Plan for Threshold Identity Authentication that is based on partial Hash table without credibility center. The plan can effectively resist the external attack and passive attack from internal nodes, and thus improve the efficiency of various nodes for certificate inquiry and updating. Compared with currently existing plans for identity authentication, the paper has a smaller quantity of calculation and a lower degree of complexity with fast generation of certificates.
